North Chadderton School continues to be good in all areas.  (Ofsted - May 2017)

We hope the balance of traditional values and the very highest of expectations will provide the perfect platform to enable every student to be given the best possible chance of success.

The school has an unrelenting focus on the success of every student supported with expert guidance, care and support.

North Chadderton achieved excellent results at both GCSE and ‘A’ Level in August 2018 which continues its very strong culture of success. These superb results are testament to the hard working students along with the excellent help and guidance of their teachers.

This reaffirms that at North Chadderton, an excellent learning culture is created where students are given the opportunity to achieve the highest possible standards. The school focusses strongly on developing skills within all students so that they can effectively apply their knowledge and understanding as well as ensuring that they are "work ready and school ready".  Successful education is built on a solid partnership between the school, students and parents. I very much welcome the support that parents provide in reinforcing these high standards and expectations. Their strong partnership with the school enables students to develop as successful citizens of the future.

This culture of aspiration was reaffirmed when the school was inspected by Ofsted in May 2017. The school was delighted with the inspection teams’ judgements, which resulted in the school being judged as ‘Good’ in all areas including the Sixth Form.

The inspection team commented that:

"The Leadership Team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection."

"There is pride in the ethos of the school, built around the school’s fine core values of responsibility, reflection, reasoning, resilience and resourcefulness."

"Relationships between staff and pupils are strong."

"Current pupils make good progress from their starting points across a range of subjects."

"All pupils experience effective teaching."

"The Sixth Form is a real strength of the school."

"Behaviour is good for all pupils."

"A culture of safeguarding is evident in all aspects of the school’s practise."

"There is a very strong Team ethic within the school community along with a desire and ambition for sustained success."

Parents are highly supportive and one parent fed-back to Ofsted via their online survey the following comment, “The School provides an excellent learning environment in which I feel children are developed not just academically but also so that they are socially aware and able to contribute positively to the world outside of school.”

I hope the above information clearly explains the culture of aspiration, achievement and success within North Chadderton School. I very much look forward to welcoming you to the school and working with you as your son or daughter progresses through the school.
