We offer a wide range of Apprenticeships and Pre-Apprenticeship (Study Programmes). Pre-Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for young people to gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours that employers are looking for in an apprentice. They will also gain hands on experience and be supported by our team to help find a suitable apprenticeship. You can find out more about our Pre-Apprenticeships by watching this short video

Students can register their interest with us by completing this form, explaining in the message box which areas they are interested in. A member of the Recruitment Team will get in touch with them to discuss their options.

Motus Commercials

Good Afternoon

Having almost reached the end of another challenging year for everyone, I am delighted to confirm to you and your students that in 2022 Motus Commercials will continue to commit to offering fantastic apprenticeship opportunities to the young people in our communities.

The automotive industry has a vast and varied range of career opportunities and at Motus Commercials we are keen to find the next generation of passionate, enthusiastic and hard-working young people who would like to work within the largest commercial vehicle dealer group in the UK; whether they have an interest in working on our vehicles (heavy & light), selling them or supporting our customers through customer service, administration or finance roles.

I suspect you & your team are working hard planning in your careers curriculum for the next academic year so I thought it would be the perfect time to advise you & your students that they can now register their interest in our 2022 Apprenticeship opportunities – our dealership nearest to your school is Oldham Broadway Business Park, Chadderton, OL9 9XA.  Vacancies will go live in the new year upon which time I will make direct contact with interested parties and support them to submit an application.  Your students could potentially secure an apprenticeship well before they leave school.

I have attached our poster which I would love for you to share with your colleagues and students, and in addition, should any of your current year 10’s wish to request work experience with us I would be happy to speak with them also.

Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me

Many Thanks & Kind Regards

Sarah Bardens

Software Engineering Apprentices
London or Greater Manchester area
£22,889 to £24,385 (including concessionary pay) depending on region
Problem Solver? Logical Thinker? We might be the right solution for you.
We are MI5. And we gather intelligence from within the UK. Our work helps to protect the UK from a range of serious threats – everything from terrorism to organised crime, cyber threats to espionage. Technology sits at the heart of everything we do. It enables us to disrupt serious threats to national security. And this is your chance to be part of that work.
The Role
Joining us as a Software Engineering Apprentice, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from software delivery teams that will offer you a unique insight into the work of the intelligence agencies. Through a variety of placements, you’ll help to build technology that catches criminals and improves our ability to tackle threats. Our work is constantly evolving, so you will too. Over the course of the three years, you’ll become familiar with some of the world’s most sophisticated electronic equipment and gain practical experience that simply isn’t available anywhere else. What’s more, you’ll work towards a BSc Honours Degree in Digital and Technology Solutions while you do it.
About You
We don’t expect you to know everything – in fact, we’re looking for people who want to learn. But you should have a genuine interest in programming and technology. You’ll also need (or expect to have by September 2022) 72 UCAS points, and a minimum GCSE grade 4/C in English Language and maths – or equivalent functional skills (level 2). You’ll need to be a British citizen to work here too.
As an organisation that values and nurtures talent, we're committed to helping you fulfil your potential. So you can expect excellent rewards and benefits, an inclusive workplace and supportive training.
At MI5 diversity and inclusion are critical to our mission. To protect the UK, we need a truly diverse workforce that reflects the society we serve. This includes diversity in every sense of the word: those with different backgrounds, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, ways of thinking and those with disabilities or neurodiverse conditions. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from everyone, including those from groups that are under represented in our workforce.
Ready to unlock your future? Apply now.
To be eligible to apply, you must be a British Citizen. One of your parents must be a British Citizen or must have one of the nationalities or citizenships from one of the following: British Overseas Territory, British Subject, British National (Overseas), British Overseas Citizen, British Protected Person, citizenship of a country in the Commonwealth, citizenship of a country in the European Economic Area (EEA), or citizenship of the United States of America (USA). If deceased, they should have had such citizenship or nationality before death. If you hold dual nationality, of which one component is British, you will nonetheless be considered. If successful, you will not normally be required to give up your non British citizenship but, as a condition of your employment or secondment, MI5 may impose restrictions on your postings, work travel and/or general use of that nationality. Candidates must normally have been resident in the UK for seven out of the last ten years. This is particularly important if you were born outside the UK. Each case will be carefully considered on its own facts. You can apply at the age of 17 years and 6 months, if successful you will not be offered a start date prior to your 18th birthday. Discretion is vital. You should not discuss your application, other than with your partner or a close family member. Please note, you should only launch your application from within the UK. If you are based overseas, you should wait until you visit the UK to launch an application. Applying from outside of the UK will impact on our ability to progress your application. Further information on our eligibility criteria can be found on the Applying section.

Greater Manchester Fire Service Recruitment

Join Us

We will soon be launching a firefighter recruitment drive, the link to our Expression of Interest form will go live on the 08/11/2019 – please visit our website again on 08/11/2019 for more information.

Becoming a Firefighter in Greater Manchester

A core part of the role is to respond to emergencies and save lives. As well as fighting fires, firefighters attend other emergencies such as road, rail and air traffic accidents, chemical spills, floods, and terror attacks.

We place a firm emphasis on fire prevention, and our firefighters spend a great deal of time promoting fire safety within the community. Through our free Safe and Well checks, firefighters visit homes, assess their risk from fire, check smoke alarms, and advise people on how best to plan their escape routes in case of fire.

Firefighters carry out building inspections to make sure that local businesses are complying with fire safety regulations. They also work closely with other public services and community organisations to promote important fire and water safety advice.

You can find out more about Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service through our social media channels:
