DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY CURRICULUM INTENT
The study of Design and Technology curriculum allows students to become self-motivated and confident learners, who can work independently and as part of a team. We aim to ensure that learners develop wide range of new skills that will be acquired across all Design and Technology disciplines working with a range of materials and manufacturing processes. Also, incorporating knowledge of other subjects, which are valued by employers. We encourage students to be active creators of their own learning, empowering them to think outside the box to overcome obstacles, whilst working towards a design brief. We demonstrate our passion and enthusiasm for the subject through teaching new technologies and modern industrial processes, whilst retaining the best of traditional practices to allow students to be work ready.
