North Chadderton School is a very special place. It has a long- established reputation for providing an academically challenging and creative education for all its students. They thrive by being encouraged to not only develop their own talents and leadership skills, but also to learn the importance of contributing to the life of the school and wider community.
The Oak Trust is a Multi Academy Trust serving our local community. North Chadderton School and Sixth Form, Firbank Primary School and Thorp Primary School are the founding schools of The Oak Trust. The aim of The Oak Trust is to ensure all its students are, 'School Ready, Work Ready, Life Ready'.
The school's vision is 'Transforming Lives Through the Power of Education' and that is our ambition for all students that attend our inclusive and diverse school. We are dedicated to ensuring that every student at our school is happy and well supported, both academically and socially. We want every child to grow and flourish in our care and this is reflected in our school's values, to 'Work Hard, Be Kind and Make a Difference'. It is the combination of our vision and values that help shape our whole school community and enable our students to thrive and cope with the demands of everyday life.
The school has an unrelenting focus on the success of every student, supported with expert guidance, care and support. Our guarantee is that we prepare every student for a lifetime of success, by providing them with the finest education possible. The school is focussed on developing and embedding student leadership and we work hard on ensuring young people leave us with a range of skills and attributes that go hand in hand with their academic qualifications and help to open doors for them in the future.
We hope the balance of traditional values and the very highest expectations will provide the perfect platform to enable every student to be given the best possible chance of success. We know that being successful is defined by high academic achievement and progress, and good conduct, but it is also knowing and demonstrating what it means to be a good person, to understand the 'power' of being good, being kind and being responsible for yourself and others.
The school is very proud of its success at both A Level and GCSE. This reaffirms that, at North Chadderton, a learning culture is created where students are given the opportunity to achieve the highest possible standards. Successful education is built on a solid partnership between the school, students and parents/carers. We very much welcome the support that parents/carers provide in reinforcing these high standards and expectations. Our collective partnership enables students to develop as successful citizens of the future and ensures students leave us as well rounded young people.
The entire team at North Chadderton is focussed on mapping the school's journey to further success. Staff and students clearly understand their individual responsibilities within this journey, built on highly effective teamwork. Our school ethos is aspirational and achievable for all, and is evident in all aspects of school life.
We hope the above information clearly explains the culture of aspiration, achievement and success within North Chadderton School. We very much look forward to welcoming you and working with you, as your son or daughter progresses through the school.
