North Chadderton Sixth Form

Welcome to North Chadderton Sixth Form College

At North Chadderton Sixth Form College, our mission is to deliver an exceptional Post-16 education, offering a wide range of A Level and vocational courses that provide proven pathways to university, employment, and apprenticeships. We are committed to supporting the students of Chadderton and the surrounding areas with outstanding pastoral care, ensuring they thrive, achieve, and are well-prepared for the global job market.

At North Chadderton Sixth Form College, we are dedicated to helping students achieve their full academic potential. In 2024, we were proud to see a notable rise in top grades, with 34% of our students achieving A*, A, Distinction*, or Distinction grades. In A Levels, 53% of students secured grades of A*-B, and 80% achieved A*-C. Our vocational students also excelled, with all achieving at least a Merit and 73% attaining Distinction* or Distinction.

This exceptional academic success, combined with our comprehensive pastoral support, enables students to confidently pursue their post-18 ambitions. Our 2024 graduates have secured places at prestigious universities to study subjects such as Medicine, Dentistry, History, and Mechanical Engineering. Many students have also embarked on higher-level apprenticeships at leading organisations, including Diodes, BAE, and KPMG.

At North Chadderton Sixth Form College, every student takes part in our comprehensive ‘Enrich for Success’ Programme, which is designed to develop essential skills such as leadership, resilience, communication, and organisation. This enrichment programme is central to our commitment to student growth, equipping them with the tools they need for success beyond Sixth Form.

Students can take part in subject-based seminars, mentoring programmes, support youngers students with reading and participate in prestigious schemes like the Oxford UNIQ programme, which offers unique insights into university life. We also encourage students to take on leadership roles through our Senior Student Team, who act as ambassadors for the college, leading initiatives in fundraising, arts and culture, event planning, and raising awareness of issues like mental health.

Students can further enhance their personal development through extracurricular activities such as the Football and Netball Teams, Young Enterprise programme and the Duke of Edinburgh Award. For those who want to extend their academic skills, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) provides an opportunity to complete an independent research project, earning an additional half A Level. These experiences are highly valued by both universities and employers, helping students build well-rounded profiles that set them apart.

At North Chadderton Sixth Form College, we pride ourselves on providing the academic rigour, personal support, and enriching experiences that enable our students to succeed in their next steps, whether in higher education, employment, or apprenticeships.

Some students go directly into training or employment, covering a wide range of occupations.  We also have excellent links to support students with Apprenticeship programmes.
