SPANISH CURRICULUM INTENT |
The Modern Languages curriculum aims to provide students with good knowledge of the vocabulary, grammar and phonics of another language to enable them to participate in the cultural richness of our society and the wider world. |
WHY SPANISH? |
If you want to immerse yourself in different cultures, expand your understanding of the world, and communicate effortlessly when you travel and work, then studying Spanish is certainly for you. Not only does studying languages enhance communication skills, cultural understanding and cognitive abilities but it will also give you a competitive edge and make you stand out in your future job applications and subsequent interviews. Language skills significantly impact job prospects; around 90% of graduates with proficiency in more than one language find employment within the first six months of graduation and often earn a higher income due to their ability to navigate diverse linguistic and cultural landscapes. Learning languages opens doors to various career paths such as international business, law, medicine, diplomacy, and tourism. Why not make language studies a valuable investment in your future employability? You’ll only regret it if you don’t! |
