Year 10

Welcome from the Head of Year

Year 10 (ID 1287)

Dear Parents and Carers of Year 10,

I am the Head of Year 10, Mr Tom Fletcher. Our class of 2025 students have continued to flourish year on year, and I have thoroughly enjoyed accompanying them on their journey through North Chadderton so far and getting to know each and every one of them. Our year group continues to impress with their good nature, humour, positivity and determination, they are truly growing to become fantastic young people.

As we now head into our GCSE's, our focus has changed towards their future pathways and life in Key Stage 4 and beyond. Year 10 have had an exceptional start to their GCSE studies with exemplary levels of engagement and hard work demonstrated already. With this excellent attitude their trajectory will no doubt lead to success in the years to come.

Year 10 is a year group who fully immerse themselves into the culture and ethos of the school and all the wider opportunities North Chadderton has to offer. We have sporting excellence from football to netball and athletics, community fundraising champions and diligent representatives of our school student leadership teams, as well as all students who contribute to our cultural and whole year group events. It is a pleasure to see students representing our school at so many different levels.

I firmly believe that this is a special year group who truly embody our school values of 'Work Hard, Be Kind and Make a Difference'. They are an asset to our school community and role models for the younger years. I look forward to continuing working together with you as parents/carers, to ensure the best possible outcomes in Year 11 and beyond, but to most importantly to ensure our students leave as happy and well rounded individuals.
