Year 7

Welcome from the Head of Year

Year 7 (ID 1283)

Transition from primary to secondary school can be an exhilarating time for many students. Young people will have the opportunity to experience new subjects, new activities and make new friends at a much bigger school. At North Chadderton School we understand that whilst most of you will be excited some may feel nervousness at the thought of starting a new school; these feelings are completely normal. Here at North Chadderton School, we strive to ensure that all are students are supported in their transition process and that everything goes as smoothly as possible.

In year 7, we have a team of kind and caring form tutors, who are here to help parents/carers and young people. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child's form tutor. We ask that you contact the form tutor in the first instance as they will be able to direct the query to the appropriate place if required.

At North Chadderton School, we encourage all our students to embody our core values: “Work hard, Be Kind, Make a Difference.” Showing kindness and maintaining a positive attitude not only uplifts others but also promotes personal development. Even the smallest acts of kindness can have a powerful impact, helping to create a school community that is inclusive, respectful, and supportive. These everyday actions nurture important qualities such as empathy, compassion, and leadership skills that will benefit students throughout their lives.

I am truly looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you and to seeing you all settle in, grow in confidence and thrive as part of the North Chadderton family.

Welcome to your new school.
